Here is a video picture book I made using Adobe Spark, Adobe Sketch, and Emojime.

Through the process, I learned so much about how to put a picture book together, the complexities of rhyming, and what children and their parents want to see.  I’ve gotten really good feedback on the project so I wanted to post it here. It’s my first PUBLIC YouTube post!

A little history:

Last week, this video came up on my Facebook feed.  The art teacher, Mrs. Mitchell, said we can all use the video to learn and teach this cool art form.  I didn’t even know this was a thing!

There are more videos on YouTube on toy photography.  It’s really amazing what you can do!  Children have tons of toys so they can make toy photography photos too!

A coworker then shared this article with me about a famous toy photography artist who lives in Malaysia.

There are so many photos on Google featuring toys.  It’s so great.

I tried to figure out a way to make an e-book using several formats – Publisher, Book Creator, and even Powerpoint.  I finally settled on Spark.  It works but I’m now looking for other ways too.  Please let me know if you know of any formats for e-picture books.

This project was super fun to develop.  It started with a desire to paint some cakes to celebrate my birthday (49 cakes for 49 years!) and then morphed into something else.  I love it when things work out that way!

Keep creating. You never know where it will go.
